Shaman has a lot of cool looking spells like chain lightning that bounces all over the place. You have the solar/lunar resource and you change which spells you use based on which phase you are in. I don't have much experience with Warlock, I find managing all the DOTs and cooldowns just aggravates me.īoomkin is different from other casters, I think. I like my hunter because it's kind of fun to go out and tame different pets, see what they do, or make a "look" with transmog that is fun and unusual. DK/Pally/Warrior rely on big shiny 2 handed weapons, generally, and smack stuff around. Kitties and Rogues both rely on combo point style resources, and sneaky-sneaky ways. If you like it, you'll probably have a blast with any of these. Thus I find warrior, rogue, Death Knight, Ret Pally, Cat durid and enhance shaman not terribly fun. The spec has definitely seen better days, and hopefully a brighter dawn for 9.I find I don't care much for melee DPS. Honestly, I have not seen a spec this bland and uninteractive since Vanilla and BC ret paladins. Frost is hampered by a disjointed talented tree and a core ability, pillar of frost, that just utterly destroys the momentum of the rotation. They certainly are seeing representation in arena, but that does not mean it is an enjoyable class to play. Some WW’s will disagree, but they are likely vets, who have mastered the class. With an impractical number of 15-45 second cooldowns, along with a mastery that requires you to be 110 percent engaged to maximize dps, the intensity of the class, kills the fun. WW has a lot of depth and opportunity for skill expression, but is also part of its problem. Somewhat like the rogue, but with far more interesting abilities that are interwoven with the greater class fantasy at large. Over reliance on cooldowns, along with a lack of meaningful maelstrom spenders and the impossible task of ever keeping up with stormstrike procs…still, allow for an overall fun spec.įeral Overall anything druid is neat, interesting, and slightly off the beaten path.

It is definitly functional and even popular in high rated pvp and pve, but the core aspect of combo point builder/dispenser leaves a lot to be desired.Įnhance is a bit of a chaotic mess right now. Ret has savoury weapon ability sounds along with a smooth rotation. Survival is definitely a fun and creative spec that I recommend at least a try. Otherwise it somewhat feels like the arcane version of melee and somewhat boring. Right off the bat, DH will be fun if you like numbers flashing on your screen. When it comes to flow, ability animations, and ability sounds, either of the warrior dps specs will feel far more streamlined than any of the other melee specs. When it comes to general world activities and overall fun Warrior, either fury or arms, are head and shoulders above the rest.
